Everybody needs two people's worth of love
the poor need the love of nine saints each
the disaffected, a gaggle of angels
and the lepers need a visit from God

with benefits and no strings attached
worth of love

the marginalised shall be bequeathed
the amorous advance of an army of devas
in perpetuity

and the mentally ill will receive an extra bonus
of lustful whore godesses, their libations and
ten percent of their harvests

the working poor have already inherited the
earth but only at night
as the rich shovel our souls for war dead
and better quarterly reports

and the lonely will wander in heaven
every being being a touch stone of light
and blessed rapture throughout their existence
until they can no longer walk
