Informal Theory: Pop Psychology and the profiled writes back
Mindfulness. Self-awareness. The CBT "screen" visualisation exercise for intrusive thoughts. The mirror to one's own theatre/self. The reflective thoughtform. The pedestrian "social filter." Repression. Struggling liminal states.
Basically, there are two actors in these network type scenarios of the self and affect. The plane of emergence and the active observer. Observation obviously always being an action.
We could frame this as an internalisation of a Foucauldian-type of surveillance power scenario. At a more bare instance we have a topology, we have a stage and theatre.
The plane of emergence ruptures with a flare approaching the plane of observation related as intolerable. Circumscribed by the social and its arbitrary and normative parameters regards behaviour. The psychologists I've seen would quibble with social norms as arbitrary. We could at least base them on wealth and male power. My counsellors are basically Dante's Virgil. Due to the wending dynamism of experience, therapy is conceptually endless. Or as I have done, approach with discursive engagement and patching frictional affect to societal planes as they are appear. Or in the humanist sense, the other.
One learns more of one's own condition beyond the capacity of the psychologist. In effect you have made them redundant. In a spatially challenging and pharmacogenetic conflictual model of treatment removing one brick from the wall in my experience is a relief. And also a network (gladiatorial? :) ) power.
A simple approach of the notion of screening. Definitely a function of state borders, capital human resources, a mediated thoroughfare. Filtering, exclusion, acceptance. It's a cellular. Mitochondrial. A list of agents acceptable and not.
As a model it's threadbare considering human experience but it outlines a stage, wings and audience. The fourth wall is revolutionary. Admittedly, insurrectionary. Or I just miss a night campfire and the hike. A free nomadism I posit occuring before the famed neolithic meteor strike engendering debt society and patriarchy. That meteor created architecture and metropolis.
