Drift....

An incredible pressure creates drift -- without attempting to map molecular drift or wave mechanics - examples of natural drift in atmospherics is the polar Aurorae - the research of which led to television and this computer screen's Light Emitting Diodes...

Fair enough.

I am not sure about the North Pole and never having gone to Antarctica -- I know that this happens

To spread out and invoke the image - the stars in the night sky swim like wandering fish -- the closer to the pole due to stellar rotation- long days long nights.

In terms of time - even in the Time's Arrow model there are at least three times I am aware of on Earth - Solar Time, Atomic Time and Sidereal Time - each just different to the other by a matter of seconds or in the case of Sidereal Time (Time by Stars) 4-6 minutes...ripped off! :)
